WARNING! This article contains spoilers.

As we get closer to the release of the highly anticipated film, we’re seeing (and learning) lots more about the new “Star Wars” movie.

And while some major Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers have leaked, there’s still a a lot to look forward to.

Pop culture magazine Entertainment Weekly just released new photos from Star Wars: The Force Awakens in its Fall Movie Preview. Take a look:

According to director J.J. Abrams, Kylo Ren is “a character who came to the name ‘Kylo Ren’ when he joined a group called the Knights of Ren.” The character, played by Adam Driver, is apparently obsessed with Darth Vader. (Image: Walt Disney Studios/Lucasfilm)

Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) and Finn (played by John Boyega) make a run for it on the desert planet of Jakku. (Image: Walt Disney Studios/Lucasfilm)

(Left) Anthony Daniels returns as C-3PO (with an interesting red arm) and Kenny Baker as R2D2. (Right) Captain Phasma is played by Gwendoline Christie of Game of Thrones. Costumer Michael Kaplan helped design the Captain Phasma outfit with other “Star Wars” resources. Notice the C-3PO-like fingers? (Image: Walt Disney Studios/Lucasfilm)

Rey helps free the droid BB-8 from a fellow scavenger. (Hmmm…that sounds familiar.) The never-before-seen creature in this still is called a luggabeast. (Image: Walt Disney Studios/Lucasfilm)

And finally, this image of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker from Star Wars fan site, Star Wars 7 News. Hamill is now 63, the same age as Alec Genius was when he played Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Mind-Blowing Visual Effects
Director J.J. Abrams has stated that Star Wars The Force Awakens will return to traditional effects and miniature models, but expect there will still be some pretty amazing scenes from these professional filmmakers that know how to create visual effects.

Expect that the story and characters will be very well developed, too. Abrams is a longtime fan of “Star Wars” (he was 11 when he saw the first movie in theaters). He told Entertainment Weekly, “Any good story has conflict, and if all were rosy 30-some years post-Jedi, we would be hard-pressed to find an interesting story to tell.”

We can’t wait. Star Wars The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18, 2015.
