New Age Space Camp

By Ryan Koss

Today’s tech-driven world is all about the next big thing. From breakthroughs in transportation technology to the latest wearable device from Apple, technology drives today’s society.

In fact, many of tech’s most influential figures, such as SpaceX and Tesla’s Elon Musk, believe that outer space is that next big thing. As NASA’s partnerships with companies like SpaceX continue to grow, the need for talented professionals in the aerospace engineering industry will grow.

Students at DMA’s Engineering and Rocket Science camp design and test their own rocket prototypes.

Due to this, it has never been more important to understand the key concepts behind physics, engineering, and robotics. In a recent interview, Elon Musk told fans that he tests many of his rockets using the educational game, Kerbal Space Program.

The game allows players to design, engineer and test their very own spacecraft. Thanks to Kerbal Space Program’s realistic physics and rocket mechanics, players are provided with an authentic introduction to rocket science.
