It’s the southeast’s leading engineering school, with a rich reputation as a place where science “is done right,” powered by mega-brain undergrads with a quest for achievement. It’s Atlanta’s Georgia Tech—and this summer Digital Media Academy will bring its creative tech camp program to the famed “Ramblin’ Wreck” location that is Georgia Tech.
For creative kids with a passion to express themselves through today’s digital arts, DMA camp is the perfect summer opportunity—a chance to build one’s personal resume while having a great time creating digital entertainment in many different formats, including films, animated films, video games, music, digital photography and more. It’s a concentrated, weeklong experience that actually lasts a lifetime.
Respected Think-Tank with Modern Perspective
Georgia Tech has long been a cutting-edge university, and always seems to be making important news, which makes it a perfect location for DMA’s immersive tech camp program, which stresses STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) teaching.
Two recent developments show how progressive this most-modern university really is. For example, leading software manufacturer Agilent gave a $90 million software endowment to Georgia Tech. Agilent also donated to GT’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Another development underscores Georgia Tech’s progressive policies. Its new Carbon Neutral Energy Solutions (CNES) lab has been honored with a National Institute of Building Sciences “Beyond Green” Award. The lab excels at sustainable design by reducing electricity loads and increasing the use of renewable energy.
Cool Time in Hot ‘Lanta
From July 8th through July 26th, DMA Tech Camps will be hosted at the famous Georgia Tech campus. Home to CNN and Coca Cola, Atlanta is both an entertainment and cultural center. At DMA’s Georgia Tech location, kids and teens create everything from movies in Digital Filmmaking for Teens to apps and games in Google® Android™ Game Development.
Create online destinations in the Web Design & Development for Teens camp. In total there are thirty-five different DMA camps programs this summer at Georgia Tech. There’s something for everyone—even hard-to-please teens.
