It’s Canada’s premier institution of higher learning. And this summer, it will become the latest university to host Digital Media Academy’s critically acclaimed technology camp for kids and teens aged 6 to 18. In response to the demand from our eastern Canadian friends, DMA is proud to launch a tech camp at the University of Toronto.
Better Technology Camp, Better Value For Your Money
When campers arrive at the University of Toronto starting August 12, they will encounter a camp experience like no other. Hands-on learning is guided by industry professional technology educators who work or teach in those same areas. So it does not matter if your child is passionate about digital film production, app & web development, 3D game design or just spending a week at an animation camp, DMA always features the latest software and technological tools. Aspiring filmmakers, for example, get to personally use professional Canon video cameras. This hands-on approach pays off with campers returning home with both skills and the digital projects they have created.
Of course, it isn’t a truly great camp experience without fun. At DMA we make sure to include coordinated recreation breaks throughout the day—and even include team building activities, so campers can make and hang out with new friends. And to make sure campers get a experience that is truly world-class, DMA maintains a separate instructional and counselor/activity staff. At other camps, instructors become activities or youth counselors after class hours, not at DMA. Here instructors are focused one hundred percent on the learning experience every day of the week.
Traditional Campus, Modern City
The University of Toronto provides an exciting location for DMA campers, who will enjoy getting a taste of living on a college campus. Founded nearly two centuries ago, the University of Toronto is full of grand, gothic buildings and spacious grounds.
Families of DMA campers will love visiting Toronto, too. One of the most beautiful cities in North America, Toronto offers spectacular views, a scenic harbor-front area and first-class shopping in Toronto’s Eaton Centre.
Last summer was DMA’s biggest ever and this year is expected to be even busier. Digital Media Academy is the best tech camp in Canada, and ranked as one of the best summer camps in the world. If you’re like most families you’re already making your summer plans…if those plans will include a tech camp, we recommend you register now to guarantee your seat. Enroll your child in DMA’s 2013 Summer Program and save $75 when you register and pay for camp by February 18.
